The Town of Webb snowmobile trail system has officially closed for the season, a stark reality for riders hoping to traverse its familiar paths. Access gates at the trailheads are shut, and the trails themselves bear the marks of a harsh winter, with the remaining base and coverage entirely deteriorated. It is, unfortunately, almost certain that these trails will not reopen. Many trails are bare, and the forecasted snow showers for next week offer little promise of accumulation, given the warm temperatures and persistent rain that have plagued the region. Furthermore, a significant portion of the Webb trails either traverse or are accessed through leased lands, adding another layer of complexity to their accessibility.
